Details

An aquatint by the English landscape painter Thomas Daniell, who along with his nephew William, spent seven years in India in the late eighteenth century. This image is titled “The Rope Bridge at Sirinagur”.

This work is printed directly on glass and subsequently framed in a very contemporary style, doing away with traditional framing methods that are omnipresent in today’s world. The result involves a single piece of glass that is centred on a wood base and subsequently hand- painted and finished in a manner that is visually stunning.
