Bookends

We have a strong ethos of repurposing vintage items so that they can continue to have a special place in our homes. One such example involves old, solid brass toys that were hand-crafted for children in a time when alternatives were rare to come by. These solid brass toys have been repurposed by us in the form of bookends, with the toys being imbedded onto the top of solid wood blocks.

Other repurposed bookends involve the finials on wooden rafters found in Chettinad homes. These bookends have been sanded down and subsequently hand painted prior to the placement of velvet fabric on the side and the base.
